About the Job

Position: Senior Project Manager

Location: Jersey City, NJ

Overview: Soltage is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to handle multiple solar and storage projects (2-20 MW) in various U.S. regions, including the Midwest, Southwest, Northeast, Southeast, and Mid-Atlantic. The role involves managing the entire project life cycle from development and pre-construction to final completion, covering equipment selection, procurement, EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) selection, and project execution. The Project Manager will also ensure a smooth transition to the asset management and operations teams upon project completion.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineering teams for design and constructability reviews of electrical and civil plans.
• Negotiate and execute EPC contracts and manage the bidding process.
• Oversee multiple PV projects (2-20 MW) in various states.
• Conduct site visits, coordination meetings, inspections, and monitor construction activities.
• Manage project schedules and maintain critical milestone dates.
• Handle project budgets from the RFP phase through final completion.
• Support internal project financing and accounting efforts.
• Facilitate vendor selection, procurement, permitting, and interconnection applications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or construction management preferred.
• 5+ years of project management experience with Distributed Generation Ground Mounted SAT Photovoltaic Solar Farms or Solar PV+BESS projects.
• NABCEP and PMP certifications are a plus.
• Strong project management skills, detail-oriented, and organized.
• Positive attitude, high energy, and ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Proficient in Procore, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Smartsheet, and MS Project.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Knowledge of the National Electric Code and 3-phase power and utility interconnection processes.
• Experience with technical programming for metering/monitoring systems.
• Willingness to travel (estimated 25%).
• OSHA 10, First Aid, and CPR trained.
