This job is in the Immigration Records and Identity Services Directorate, specifically within the Identity and Information Management Division’s Resource Management Branch.
As a Supervisory Mission Support Specialist, your main tasks will include:
- Directing and implementing staffing and recruiting processes.
- Coordinating and overseeing performance management.
- Handling special programs and projects related to the division.
Duties
- Lead a Team: Supervise a group of management and program analysts who manage key Identity and Information Management programs across the bureau.
- HR Expertise: Provide senior-level support in human resources, focusing on human capital management.
- Improve Efficiency: Find ways to enhance the effectiveness of administrative support. Develop and implement action plans for both short-term and long-term goals.
- Strategic Leadership: Oversee administrative operations, driving continuous improvement to boost organizational effectiveness.
- Communication: Prepare and deliver briefings, presentations, and other materials for supervisors and executive management.
- Promote Inclusion: Implement and support Office of Equal Opportunity and Inclusion (OEOI) policies. Encourage team participation in OEOI activities and training.

Qualifications:
- Time-in-Grade Requirement: Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band by 09/06/2024.
- Experience: To qualify at the GS-14 level, you need:
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the federal government. This includes:
- Leading and managing a team, including planning, setting priorities, and evaluating performance.
- Providing expert consultation in human capital management to enhance employee engagement.
- Conducting evaluations of administrative functions, preparing recommendations, and tracking goals.
- Developing briefings and communication materials related to workforce management.
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the federal government. This includes:
